Ayodhya Birthplace of Lord Shree Ram, this place large number temples out of which Ram Janam Bhoomi, Kanak Bhawan, hanuman Garhi , Nageshwar Nath Ji and Ram ki Pauri (bank of Saryu River) are well known. Boating between Ayodhya and Guptar Ghat (where Lord Ram performed Jal Samadhi)
Chhapaiya (40 Kms) Birthplace of Swaminarayan. He was born here on 3 April 1781 as Ghanshyam, making this village a pilgrim place for his followers’ worldwide. There are places where Swaminarayan played with other kids, climbed a tree that is part of the faith’s folklore, the lake where he revived fish from a fisherman’s catch.
Varanasi (200 Kms) is believed to be the spiritual capital of India and is on the bank of holy river Ganga, and few places of interest are the Ashoka Pillar, the Bharat Kala Bhawan (Art Museum), the Bharat Mata Temple, the Central University for Tibetan Studies, the Durga Temple, the Jantar Mantar, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, the New Vishwanath Temple on the BHU campus, the Ramnagar Fort, the Riverfront Ghats, the Tulsi Manas Temple, SARNATH- Buddhist spot, also famous for Varanasi sarees and embroidery.
Allahabad (161 kms) is the tri section of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Sarswati (the place is called Sangam), where you can see all three different water colors. The Allahabad Kumbh Mela is a mela held every 12 years; the fair involves ritual bathing at Triveni Sangam
Naimisaranya (200 Kms) the sacred well, namely Chakra Kunda is believed to have started from the weapon of Vishnu, Chakra. There are shrines dedicated to Chakranarayana, Ganesh, Rama, Lakshman. Every new moon day, a large number of people purify themselves with a dip in the holy well. If the new moon falls on a Monday, it is believed that a holy bath in the well and offering to the presiding deity Lalitha will wash away all the sins committed in lifetime.
